This poetic short film is a story of a time shared and love lost, as told through a combination of “Poema X” by Pablo Neruda and “Under the Harvest Moon” by Carl Sandburg. Driven by visual themes culled from the literary world of magical realism (one of my favorite genres), it is a progression of symbolic imagery intended to draw emotion out of the viewer. I designed, directed, and aided in executing this piece, as a gift for my wife on her 40th birthday. It went on to screen at numerous film festivals and eventually won a NW Regional Emmy.
